Sense of Humor...

You gotta have one!

Example: It is 7:47 am on Tuesday. It is our spring break. And I have already delivered Number 1 son to swim practice AND been to WalMart with everything unloaded and put away.
Ummm, I'm usually just finishing carpool! HEADED to WalMart.

Example 2: My sweet friends scrapbooked this weekend at our usual retreat. One of my girlfriends slipped and fell while unloading Friday night. Thought she had just sprained her ankle. Turns out she is having surgery today at noon b/c it is broken. But she cropped all weekend like a woman on a mission!

Also....talking about FUNNY...

Number 1 son is really clever and quick witted! {One might say he gets a little of that from his dad. McSweetie is known to be a smart a$$ and that is what SOME of us find so ENDEARING about him... others... Not so much! {well, they are just missing out!}

Example: Number 1 went on a kayak/camping trip this weekend {this in itself is funny if you know ANYTHING about Number 1 son}. So I head to WalMart on Thursday to get his supplies for the weekend. You know camping food... jerky, bottled waters, trail mix, POTTED MEAT {b/c it was standard food when I camped with my family when I was little... Deviled Ham, Vienna sausages, sardines, you get the picture} and while going down the aisles I see sunflower seeds. I think yes that is fun camping food so I grab the bag. WELL, when Number 1 is packing has backpack Friday morning he runs across the seeds and says, "Hmmm, Well I guess all I need is to hear the banjo's playing now." I just died laughing. He has never even seen Deliverance {neither have I for that matter} but we all know that the banjo's mean BAD THINGS ARE GONNA HAPPEN MISTER!!

So we are already in camping mode when I get a text about outdoor tents to which he immediately replies, "and explain to me what an indoor tent looks like." We all just cracked up! See funny! Quick!

I think his humor came out this weekend while camping with the guys from church! Number 1 son doesn't give himself enough credit. He is funny, athletic, smart, courteous, and just plain fun to be around and talk to! I love him to pieces!! Good jokes, bad jokes and all!!

Here's to Sense of Humor... you gotta have one, especially if you are on your break and you have done all I have by 8:01am. Where is the sleeping in??
