When McSweetie and I first started dating his parents would have me over for Sunday lunch. These lunches helped broaden my culinary palette. From foods of fried okra, sautéed mushrooms, ford hooks.... My taste buds branched out. One of my MOST FAVORITE meals was her pineapple chicken... 😍 Another favorite was her meatloaf. And if there was dirty rice I had hit the mother load! So tonight I have prepared meatloaf (which the kiddos do not eat ESPECIALLY after making a spinach stuffed turkey loaf recipe I had gotten from a friend so they have a burger), dirty rice, oven roasted okra and cornbread! A cold night deserves cozy comfort food don't you agree??
(Oh and a few tater tots for Number 2 son!!)
