Fabulously BUSY February!

One month gone and 11 more to go.  Time did not move this fast when I was a little girl.  I know it didn't!

Already this year...

  • celebrated one BIRTHDAY, MINE!!  Enjoyed time with my family for a fun dinner and then a fun night out with my gal pals!
  • Number 1 son has gone on a college visit
  • One swim meet
  • 2 fundraisers for the summer mission trip
That is a quick recap of month one of 2013 and month two is jam packed:
  • this weekend two balls and a two day vaca for the kids for Mardi Gras
  • Began BSF
  • next weekend is a swim meet
  • The following week has the swim team banquet
  • followed by the long trek to the actual meet (which the boys should be AMAZING in the water!!
  • Two more college visits
Then we get to move on to March...marching on along.  It will be a fun month full of activities, birthdays and company.

All this to say I am so glad that there is order in all this crazy.  It has really been AMAZING to see God at work in my own life so far this year.  The way he has literally ordered my coming and going.  I am such a small piece of His puzzle but He cares so much more than I can even imagine.  We had an AWESOME missionary come and preach a few Sundays ago.  His story was so inspiring.  I am amazed to see what extremes people take to follow the call God has given them.  And that HE provides for all the needs both big and small.  So the calling he has for our lives is just as significant as that of a missionary family who goes to live among cannibal tribes.  Can you imagine THAT being your calling??  And GOING without QUESTION??  How many times do we question?  Turn our heads?  Whistle like we aren't paying attention?

We aren't being called to that extreme.  Maybe we are being called to volunteer more in our church.  Maybe we are being called to help a family in need.  Maybe we are being called to minister to our own family members (often the hardest ones)  Whatever the calling know that God WILL/IS equipping you/me.  We are called to trust and obey... Have the faith of a mustard seed.

Now off to clean this horribly DIrTY, DIsGUstiNG house that has been SEVeryLY NEGLECTED!!!!
That's MY CALLING for the day!!

Sounds like your February is jam-packed full of fun adventures! I love it when my calendar is full, I too like being busy>
I found your blog when searching for over 40 bloggers. I don't really relate to the 20 & 30 year olds with young families and I'm looking to connect with other bloggers who are, like me, over 40!
