May 1, 1987...

The DAY that started it ALL... my first date with McSweetie.  Hard to believe it has been 26 years!!!!!!!!!! I know that I am not a day over 30, I mean come on!


We were talking about this with my parents on Friday.  We had to make a quick trip home for a funeral and somehow we got to talking about our first date.. where we went... Mall and for Ice cream downtown.  That date lead to a date the next day to the Zoo... that lead to a date that night at Rossi's restaurant where we sat next to the silverware polisher ( I guess that's where the teenagers get to sit) and a trip up to Vulcan.  Which then gave me the biggest smile on my face when I got in that night.  My mom could "see" it even as I was sitting on the edge of her bed in the DARK!  And the rest as they say is HISTORY!!!

It has been a roller coaster of a ride all these years but I wouldn't have wanted it with any other person.  We are the best part of each other.  And that is only getting better and better as we get older.  Is it always EASY??  Heck NO!!  But I cannot EVER imagine my life without him.  And I think the only way you make it now a days is making CERTAIN that you have the right focus.  And that is NOT on each other but on GOD.  If He is who you are serving and glorifying EVERYDAY then all the rest falls right into place.

 I love my BSF class... we talked about that very thing last week.  My gals are spot on!!  And they are such a blessing to me.  I am so glad that GOD challenged me with becoming a group leader.  He has taught me so much these past few months and I am EVER grateful.

So Happy 26 to my FAVORITE guy!!  Here's to US!!!
