A Year of Lasts?

Senior year...

"it's your last first day of school."

 "it's your last pancake breakfast"

Do I want to look on it as a year of lasts??

No, I want it to be the year of adventure.

The year of accomplishments...

The year of the checklist

The first check is sending off his first IB paper!!  Which is this Friday... I am nervous but as I sat and prayed with my prayer partner today I had such a peace about it.  Her words were exactly what I needed to hear.  That whoever reads it will see the heart of Number 1 son.  His passion for his topic.  His research skills.  We had open house last night and played divide and conquer.  McSweetie tackled the senior schedule while i ran the sophomore route.  Needless to say that he was taken aback by all that will be done this last year is an understatement... "you mean his papers are sent to other countries to be graded...."  UH YEP!!!!

This is the path God prepared for us and has guided us through (with the help of much prayer and MOM support).  It has not been easy by any stretch of the means but I pray that it has all been worth it.  He will graduate with a firm foundation for his college studies.  That his study skills and discipline will be of great value as he continues his education path.  (where EVER that may be.  You know the planner in me is DYING to know God's plan for him.  I am dying to know where he will end up.  I am certain it will not be close.  And I am good with that.  He is so ready to be on his own and that excites me to know that he is prepared and confident in what the next chapter of his life will be.  And we have SO many people in our lives to that for that!!!!)

Not to forget about my lil sophomore... He has quite the year in front of him as well.  He is chained to his HY text, MacBook, and will work hard for his grades this year.  And I know his hard work will pay off.  I just don't want him to get overwhelmed by it all. Praying  God will grant him peace and rest and the ability to retain information and test well.

We have finally had a couple of days of NO RAIN!!!  I LOVE that big ball of yellow in the sky!!!  I am wrapping up my swim season of lessons. It has been a full one!!  But I am blessed by all those sweet children and their excitement to be able to swim with confidence.  Even if
(for some) the road started out a little rocky.

Time for some football to begin!!!  Looking forward to fun game day Saturdays!!  Football in the south... NOTHING BETTER!!!!
