But today is a much better day! I think the high is 60!! Yesterday it was a sleety/snowy mix!! Yuck! I do not like cold... AT ALL!! But braved it to have lunch with my gal pals for my Birthday! And then out for dinner and MEXICAN for Birthday dinner for my friends hubs! Then it was pajama time!! And warm cozy covers!
It is a good thing Number 1 son does like the cold because I think the temperature where he is today is 27!! He did call and say a pair of gloves and a beanie would have been nice... Oops that was not on my radar. I was more concerned that he had outgrown his sport coat and was FRANTIC to find one he could borrow! Which we did... Cashmere... He may not give it back! He called after his interview and writing sample was over. He felt really good about it. So hopefully by the beginning of February he will be awarded another scholarship! He is among some of the brightest high school seniors but I think he can outshine them (I'm his mom!! I'm supposed to think that!! As do all the other moms and dads that have their Seniors attending!!)
Today number 2 son left with his buddies sans parents to hangout for the day. That is a first!! He will be turning 16 in a month and a half. I guess I should be getting used to it. He is so looking forward to the freedom of coming and going on his own.
I ran a 5k this morning!
My sweet friend above ran this am but her BIG run is next weekend... NOLA Rock and Roll Marathon! She has put in so many hours training and has hit some obstacles so I am praying for her to be injury free and healthy next weekend! Love ya girl and so proud of you!!
Heading across the Bay this evening to see my friend and her daughter in their play! A complete satire on the MG scene! I cannot wait to laugh and laugh!
