First Day of School Traditions...

... I was reading on FB this am about a friends 1st day of school tradtion, special breakfast and homemade cookies when the kids get home. Made me think, what is out back to school tradition.....

Well, the kids always pick what they want to eat for breakfast, this year it was cinnamon rolls, sausage for number 2 son and cheese eggs for number 1 son.

• I always get a picture before we leave for school, together and separately





• when they get home they KNOW I will have a gazillion questions and they know to answer them all is the ONLY way to shut me up!!

But our best tradition of all does not involve the kiddos and that is

Moms and Mimosas!!

And usually it happens right after we drop them off we gather at my house for muffins and mimosas and whole bunch of laughing!! Well, this year my spirit was about crushed when I learned that I would be treaching 5 days a week {see last year I only taught T-F sweet deal, huh?} So anyway when I learned that my schedule had changed I was totally bummed! But low and behold God {who really does care about the little things, even my mimosas with my moms} saw fit to have my first day be a half day!! Wahooo!! So we had our Mimosas at lunch!! Fine by me!! I just looooove the time I get to spend with my friends. They are an awesome bunch and God has blessed my deeply with each and everyone of them!!

So here we are enjoying our first day back to school....
