All is Right with the World

McSweetie is FIANLLY home. His trip was much toooo long this time and quite frankly the trip from HELL! {Sorry, no other way to put it!!} But this is where the unexpected gift came in...


I had to juggle money in accounts for his trip {his company reimburses, which I hate} so I was worried that the money was not going to be where it needed to be in time for his leaving on Sunday. So... he gets on his flight. Makes it to Atlanta where he is told to stay on his current plane. Well guess what! WRONG!!! Gets off plane and goes to gate where he is told that they haven't got a seat for him on the connecting flight!!! Of course for your inconvenience... we will put you up in a hotel {yea!} and get you to the hotel {yea, no car rental} and give you 2 vouchers for food {yea, no meal expenses for Sunday or Monday am} and for your inconvenience... a voucher for a flight to be used in the future! Whoopie!! {The added bonus prize!}


So, McSweetie arrives at airport early Monday am and takes an earlier flight out. Gets off plane and waits to get his luggage... What? No luggage. We are sorry Mr. McSweetie we will track it down and deliver it to you. In the meanwhile, McSweetie goes to job site and makes phone calls back and forth to Delta to get luggage issue resolved. He then calls me to call Delta b/c he doesn't have time to stay on hold. No kidding... I was on hold for almost 20 minutes until i got JUDY!!! And let me say I didn't have nice words to say about JUDY!!! She tells me luggage was checked in at airport and is being delivered by courier. I call McSweetie and tell him "sweet" JUDY {NOT} has assured me that his luggage arrived, DOUBTFUL, and that it will be delivered. So he proceeds to call the Delta desk at the airport to tell them not to deliver, he will drive the hour to get his luggage. Gets there... NO LUGGAGE!!!! Well, you see Mr. McMeanie... we don't look for lost luggage ANYMORE. Are you kidding me??


OK so the week goes by and wearing unwashed Wal-mart underwear and clothes {now he did get some detergent and quarters to wash his dirty clothes} I get the phone call on Thursday that he is not coming home as planned on Friday. He is staying until the following Thursday!! SOOOO not a Happy Camper!! That required a trip to our local Mexican restaurant which my friend Kim picked me up so I could be a responsible parent a drink me a big margarita and not have to drive us home!!


So this past Thursday, at almost midnight so you might as well say yesterday, McSweetie arrived home safe and sound, with new clothes, and luggage. Of course somebody is going to pay for that new luggage and clothes be it company or Delta. I don't really care!


So I am enjoying a lazy Saturday... McSweetie took Number 1 son to his All-State band try-out this am {left the house at 7:10am}. Number 2 son and I have had breakfast of homemade biscuits and hot chocolate. We read from a cookbook that my mom gave me. It had some funny stories about the "olden" days!! Then I read my daily Bible lesson and now I am writing to you guys!


Oh and remember... You have 3 more shopping days until my birthday!! Let's see what do I want??? How about a new topper for my "Happy Everything" plate. A heart, maybe a baseball since b-ball season is fast approaching. Money? Oh yes... money is always good. Lunch out, sure!! A trip with my girlfriends... PRICELESS!!! This time next week we will be enjoying an oh so yummy breakfast!! And who knows what else the day has in store!!
