Little Town on the Plains

Some people think this is the happiest place on earth. I happen to think that place is west of here. But this post is not football related (although there is a HUGE game this weekend); it is swim related. State High School Swim/Dive Meet!!!!

We are fortunate that we have a diver and that allows us to come up a day early. And I am happy to report that she won first place this afternoon!!

The swimming portion begins this evening at 5:00. Boys have great potential to be in the top 16! That is exciting and the even more exciting part is that the team as a whole should place top 3??!!

Another great thing about being here is old friends! I have the joy of being able to visit with two of my sorority sisters while here! I just returned from lunch with my Big Sis and hopefully my other sister will meet up with me at the meet! She is a busy chick as she has a child with autism and is quite the advocate in her area and she had the privilege of speaking to a group today! God picked a great spokeswoman when he brought her down this road!

Another love I have is finding the great "girlie" places to eat! And my friend picked a WINNER!! If you are in this area and need to have a chicken salad fix then......
