I'm not ready for it to be the weekend...

... cause that means my week of vacation is O-V-E-R!!!

I have had a nice week of not doing ANYTHING!!!! Number 1 son left for Southeastern's and got there safely but felt bad. Had to swim this am and told me his body ached ALL OVER and he felt nauseated!! GREAT!! He swam but did not do very well. He went back to his room and slept for about 3 hours and says he feels better. He has one of his relay swims tonight. I hope he can pull it together for his team!!

Number 2 son has baseball evaluations tomorrow. I think it is a big ol' waste of time but nobody asked me. He moves up to the next division so we are at the bottom of the totem pole. He has never been the star player but he loves it so much. And I must confess, I do enjoy being at the ballpark on Saturdays in the Spring. Picked up Number 2 from school today and treated him to some ice cream after school and treated myself to the shamrock for my "Happy Everything" plate. I didn't eat any ice cream because I have given up my "after school snack" for lent. I know, I know, I am not catholic but I gave up chocolate last year and everytime I thought about eating it I reminded myself of the sacrifice Christ made for me on the cross. Totally put my desire for the chocolate in perspective. So between the hours of 3-6 it is no snacky snacky for me!! I am so glad that my salvation is not dependant on me and my goodness because I would have a one way ticket to "h-e- double hockey sticks!!" So praise the Lord for his grace and goodness and love for me on that cross!!

I look forward to our new supper club starting this weekend. It should prove to be MOST entertaining!! {If Mardi Gras was any indication!!} I am making my friend Nicole's Sweet Potato casserole to take. I hope mine is as good as hers!!

My FIL was moved out of the SICU and has his own room again. Saw people at the hospital today and they were like "thought you guys had gone home!" We said that we just took a little "vacation" down in the SICU and now we are back!! The staff is sooooo good to us up on the floor!! They are all angels!! Now if only Renee will share her cinnamon roll recipe!!
