Hot Date...

Number 1 son and I had a "hot" date this weekend! He was serving at our schools auction & dinner Friday night. He did a great job as well as all the other youth who helped. They were raising money for RYM this summer. Of course I negated the money I would have put towards RYM by buying something at the auction... but it was too cute and personal to let it go to anyone else. So, I came home with the ceramic birdhouse that the teachers made. It is really cute and I should probably post a picture of it but I haven't taken one of it! {And again, thanks to my good friend JH for blabbing to McSweetie how much I spent on it!! Look, it was priceless!! And "vanna" needed to bid on something too!!}

I had such great plans to blog this past week. It was the 1 year Anniversary of my Blog debut on Thursday... I had plans of a little giveaway for "all" my readers. Y'all are so sweet to leave comments. {If I haven't published one you have left it's because in some way you said or names or some other "personal" something... I know, weird but hey... I never have claimed to be "normal"!} I love seeing who has dropped by during the day. I probably don't know some of you but if you get some sort of joy or fun out of reading about our life here on the bay then I am glad!! It's really not all that different from where you live... it's all about.. God, family and friends. We just happen to have some very warm days and sand close by!! Oh, and some great shopping but I am not doing a whole lot of that lately!! And I missed my Favorite Family Fun post on Friday. Oh, well... there is always next week. I think that the FB thing sometimes gets in my way!! {My family would agree!! LOL}

I'm amazed that another school year is about to draw to a close. I will have 2 middle schoolers next year. YIKES!! How did that happen?

We have had a fun weekend. Friday night we had the Auction and number 2 son spent the night with a friend and was able to go to the shooting range TWICE!! On Saturday McSweetie spent some time at the church laying sod. Then we headed down to the in-laws for McSweetie to do some minor repairs for them and then we were able to bring some fun stuff back for the house. I love how it all looks in the house. I will post pics of that later. Then we met our Supper club at our favorite mexican hangout. Afterwards they all went to a local bar but we went to play cards with some friends. They won... we left... Just too tired to stay up late!! Today was church and organizing the new things. A little napping mixed in. I also went to a friend's house to go through her scrapbooking stuff and will be listing it all on ebay for her. If you need anything be checking it out!
