Days 6 and 7...

{the weather hasn't been heaven}

Seems EVERY TIME we try to get to the pool it is cloudy, rainy, thundering, etc... We started memorial day with waffles, bacon, scrambled eggs, and OJ {just for our house guest}, then it was 24. Afterwards a friend sent her son over who has been having issues with his Jeep. It was a "getting to know you " session as McSweetie called it {or McSteamie as my friend lovingly refers to him, but we HAVEN'T told him that yet. Can't let him get the big head or anything} After that we headed to the "grocery" {thought maybe if we said that the weather would hold... Uh, not so much. We had to have some down time for the weather. It was ok though;I had my book to read, WORLD WITHOUT END, Ken Follet. So we stayed longer than we had anticipated so REALLY had to bust a move to get to the in-laws for dinner. At least we were still the first to arrive :o) Enjoyed a great dinner and family visiting. Then we packed it all up and headed home {well, we had to drop number 3 son off at his REAL residence}

Today started our summer swimming schedule... we were up and out of the house before 7. I had to stop and get gas. After dropping my swimmers off, I headed to walmart. I was home and unloaded by 8am!!! Number 2 son was up and playing the Wii. so after a leisurely morning I headed out to teach some lessons. and guess what??!! YEP, THUNDER!! So again I sat with my book and read for about an hour. The sun was out the entire time just some distant rumbles of thunder.

came home, got clean and watched the boys play on the wii and computer stuff. Then we headed to the MALL for some shoe/summer reading shopping. Well we dropped a chunk of change. UGH!! But i have my wine to make sangrias like my friend Missy made. YUMMY!!!

After an UNTRADITIONAL dinner... edamame, popcorn, banana bread, yogurt, granola bars.. etc. we had a wii a thon! Now I hear the familiar music in the background... seems it's time for some 24.
