On My Mind

I have a sweet friend back home who has had a really tough year. Her husband has been battling colon cancer and is doing fine. When they found out he had cancer last year, they also found out right before he started his treatments that they were expecting. In April of this year they added a beautiful baby boy (again) to their family. Now they have just found out that this precious little boy has cancer. My heart just hurts for them. They go today and begin the process of knowing just where the cancer is, how far along, etc. I am constantly in prayer for them and ask that you would lift Joshua up too!! Pray for swift hands for the nurses who tend to him with IV's, injections, etc. Pray for peace for my friends as they have to watch their son go through this.

PS...

McSweetie has been back at work all week and is doing GREAT!! The boys are getting geared up for school, as am I. I played my only tennis match for the season yesterday. My days at work changed and although I am only there 2 days, one of those days just happen to be tennis. Oh, well!! In the scheme of things, that is very trivial although I will miss the competition. I may play at night depending on how the boys' schedule works out. Oh, and R had his first football practice yesterday. We had to miss on Monday b/c he was sick. He enjoyed it and I hope God sees fit to bless us with some great new friends and old ones on his team!! I don't think we can top that first year!! We had the greatest group of parents and made some of our best friends here that season!! God is so GOOD!!!
