Gearing Up for Gustav...

... means a day at the Grand!! Before you all go "WHAT??!!," we did all of our hurricane preparing, Wal-mart, moving outdoor furniture, etc. Then we went and hung out at the Grand. It was almost eerie as we went for 4:00 tea and in the Lobby there were musicians playing. It reminded me of Titanic before the boat went down. It was neat to watch a small storm roll in, the boats go out, and oil rigs burning off the oil. It is cheaper to burn it off than to clean up a spill according to my friend Lisa.

Now we are home getting all psyched about the storm. We are having friends over to play cards, S has HH over (they spent the day together at the grand) and R is watching TV.

I will post pics of our day later.

Happy Labor Day and may all those in the path of Gustav stay safe. (you wouldn't believe the number of LA tags at the Grand. What a fantastic place to evacuate to!!)

This is McSweetie at afternoon tea!! He does make our life fun!! Who else do we have to pick on?? He makes it so EASY!!

3 friends have left a message for us:
