Let's go back for a second, shall we...
Yesterday we went to church, came home, got the house ready for the Open House, left, went to Wal-mart for school supplies, of course you can't just go to one place to get all the school supplies, so made a run to Staples. After Staples R has been begging to get a memory card for his PSP so since it is the first of the month and allowances are due... took the boy to Target to get the memory card.
Now McSweetie has been cooped up for so long he is just begging for things to do. So we decided to take the boys to see the Dark Knight. Now keep in mind McSweetie saw it Friday night and couldn't stop talking about it. Well, we have decided that was the lortab talking now don't get me wrong it is a great movie, it just wasn't all that and even he said it seemed more intense with the lortab.
Came home, got ready for bed. R comes in saying he has a tummy ache (I of course think that the movie and the popcorn has gotten to him) so we give him a tums but that doesn't seem to help. So, I tell him to get in bed with us (which we have NEVER done with our kids, EVER!!!) So he sleeps with us, wakes this morning and tells me that he has thrown up!! Now do you get the title??!! Well, McSweetie is already off to work and I have my in service for school. So I get ready and leave him in the capable hands of his older brother (I am only 2 minutes down the road) and tell them to call if he gets sick again. 9:13 my phone rings and you guessed it... Sick again!! So during our 1st break I run home to check on him and make a Dr's apt. for 1pm.
All that said... he has a sinus infection and fluid on the ears. So yet another trip to Walgreens we hope to be on the road to recovery.
Surely once school starts things will settle down!! If not...
I did read this verse this am and I left my house refreshed but came home drained. I know that Satan just loves that!! But I claim this verse for the upcoming year for me, my kids and for McSweetie, "Commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established." Proverbs 16:3 When we trust in Him, dreams can come true!!!
